Winter Weather

When a weekend snow storm is on the way I am frequently asked whether Stony Brook will cancel services. The short answer is no.

Here's the long answer: Because we have people who live close enough to walk, there will always be someone to worship with at the building on Sunday morning. That said, I encourage you to use wisdom and caution in deciding whether it is safe to drive. Keep in mind that you may arrive to find that the parking lot has not yet been plowed. South Hadley DPW plows the parking lot, and our lot is not their highest priority. If the lot is not plowed it sometimes makes the best sense to park at the Village Commons -- assuming their parking lot has been plowed -- and walk down to the church.
